1. Our Commitment

At Tip Top Teaching Limited, the safety, welfare and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority.

We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and supportive learning environment where every student is treated with dignity, respect and kindness.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we expect all staff to share our commitment to protecting children and young people from harm.


2. Our Principles

We are committed to:

  • Treating every child with respect and fairness.
  • Listening to children and taking their concerns seriously.
  • Working in partnership with parents and carers.
  • Complying with relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance.

3. Safer Recruitment

We take reasonable steps to ensure all teachers and staff are suitable to work with children.

This includes, where appropriate:

  • Enhanced DBS checks.
  • Identity verification.
  • Reference checks.
  • Verification of qualifications and experience.
  • Appropriate safeguarding awareness and training.

4. Professional Standards

All teachers and staff are expected to:

  • Place the welfare of children first.
  • Maintain professional boundaries.
  • Treat all students fairly and respectfully.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly.
  • Follow our safeguarding procedures at all times.

5. Responding to Concerns

If we become aware of information suggesting that a child may be at risk of harm, we have a legal and moral responsibility to take appropriate action.

This may include sharing relevant information with:

  • Children’s Social Care
  • The Police
  • Schools
  • Other statutory safeguarding agencies

where it is lawful and necessary to protect a child.

Where appropriate, parents or carers will be informed unless doing so could place a child at greater risk.


6. Online Safety

Where online tuition is provided, we aim to ensure lessons are delivered in a safe and professional manner.

We ask students and parents to:

  • Join lessons from an appropriate location.
  • Use suitable devices and secure internet connections.
  • Respect the privacy of teachers and other students.
  • Not record lessons without prior written permission.

7. Equality and Inclusion

Every child has the right to learn in an environment free from discrimination, bullying, harassment or abuse.

We are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion regardless of:

  • Religion or belief
  • Sex

We expect everyone within our learning community to treat one another with respect.


8. Working with Parents

We believe safeguarding is most effective when teachers and parents work together.

Parents are encouraged to share any information that may help us support their child’s wellbeing or learning.

All information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection legislation.
